Avoiding Google: The 3 Reasons to Denoise

After telling you how Google has become more advertising than anything else and alternatives to YouTube, we would like to talk to you about the reasons why it is better to avoid Google and use other search engines.

What we do 20-30 times a day (i.e. 600-900 times per month and 7,300-11,000 per year) so immediately and unconsciously?

We ask a lone American actor (Google) to give us information, teach us and satisfy a need or desire.

We do it so frequently and so quickly that we don't even realise it... although as you will read below, we should!

So pay close attention to why we should avoid Google.

It is evident that whenever we use a search engine, a relationship of trust is established or strengthened with it and when we do a 'Google search', we now expect an answer that is truthful, reliable, trustworthy and immediate.

So Google, responding to more than 40,000 search requests EVERY SECOND (i.e. 3.5 billion a day) in the world, it has a trusting relationship with the entire connected human population.

In this article, we will discuss the main reasons why avoid Google as the primary search engine for our daily research.

In addition, we will examine some alternatives that are at least on the same level.

Here, then, is what this article on avoiding Google will be about in detail:

1. What Google has become

2.Reason is economic

Quality of results

4.Search for the truth so as to avoid Google

5. Freedom

6.Avoid Google for privacy

What Google has become

To explain why you should avoid Google, we must start with what it has become.

Unfortunately, you should know that over the years, the primary search engine we use to do our daily business has changed drastically, especially in the last 10 years.

From the small search engine it was 24 years ago, it has now become a global colossus, encompassing all the facets that are typical of technology giants these days: a immense power and money, all-round services [to be able to do what is referred to in English as "aggregated data"] and an attitude totalitarian and repressive.

Currently, as far as its service as a search engine is concerned, Google accommodates approx. 94-96% of all searches made by almost 4.5 billion people connected to the internet every day.
Since this scope is extremely broad, it is of primary importance to understand that a search engine no longer has the sole purpose of providing us with the results we have requested, but with the advent of artificial intelligence does much more...

This is certainly an early wake-up call to avoid Google, but let us continue...

Thanks to the different contact points we give it through all the services it offers, our past history and its experience, Google creates a more or less specific profile of our person.

Rtaking in technological, cognitive, social, behavioural and now also biometric datain order to learn, predict our behaviour and achieve our goals.

That said, here are the 3 reasons why it is good to avoid Google, the behemoth!

The first reason is economic

The first reason to avoid Google is certainly economic and we will explain.

A free economic system is based on the spontaneous 'competition of competitors'.

Namely, the price and characteristics of a service by different actors are balanced on the basis of supply and demand.

The more players there are in an economic system, the better it is for the consumer, both in terms of price and supply characteristics.

But what happens to an economic system if, all of a sudden and for a prolonged period, the offer of a certain service/product is FREE and of such EXCELLENT QUALITY that it wipes out the competition?

Imagine that tomorrow there is a car on the market that costs 2,000 euro, that consumes very little, is very powerful and aesthetically impeccable... Great, isn't it?

No.

Why?

Because in a very few years, we would all be driving the same car produced by the same parent company!!!
And it is not so much the fact that there would be cars with the same colour range, with the same accessories/gadgets and that the support would be the same for everyone, but the fact that this would kill the evolution of the market!
There would be no more 'research' or drive for improvement (and by that I do NOT mean 'technological progress'), other than that dictated by the sole manufacturer of that very car!

Google's problem nowadays is Google itself.

This is because it is almost always the only player or market leader in terms of offer, quality and/or price in many spheres of digital or technology.

This is a very important economic problem because by becoming so large, directly or indirectly, one finds oneself encompassing or nullifying the medium and small players who no longer have the power or strength to react.
The market in fact does not give them the opportunity to disgorge and/or have enough visibility to the masses, even though they may have a better product or a more ethical vision/mission of a given service/product.

Google, having almost infinite financial revenues, has been acquiring small, medium and large companies for 20 years now as soon as they become a possible threat to any of their market shares (or to expand further).

To date, it has spent to the tune of 19 billion on 225 acquisitions [here the list].

What if the takeover is not accepted by society?

Well, we are talking about Google... which has a deadly impact on the markets for apps, search engines, browsers, email services, servers, operating systems... Use your imagination!
What small, medium or large company in 2021 does not have a relationship with at least one of the services listed above? (representing only 10% of the digital areas within Google's reach).

Every time we use Google for a search, we feed a system that sees Google as the sole totalitarian player in the global market for a myriad of services.

Here, then, is a reason to avoid Google.

The second reason is the quality of the research results

The second reason to avoid Google relates to the quality of search results.

Over the last 10-15 years, the search quality of Google has drastically decreased.

By search quality many mean how well the search engine 'understands' the search query... I don't mean that.
I mean, the fact that Google results are now:
(a) mixed with a multitude of devious advertisements;
b) an interpretation of reality by its AI algorithm, no longer a summary of sources and websites relevant to the search query;

I will not elaborate further on how much nowadays the quality of Google search results is the worst compared to any current search engine.

If you want to read more about these two points, here is an article that clearly shows this with tangible, practical examples.

2

The search for truth

The last reason to avoid Google is the search for truth, in the sense of censorship.

Hence, the point is truth.

If you are really looking for the truth of the facts, Google is not a good search engine.

This is precisely for the reason, of avoiding Google, that we told you before, namely that in the last ten years the search algorithm has become totally automated.

There is not a person behind it but a machine that learns, search after search with a few decades of data to analyse to find ways to easily censor certain content thus brainwashing people.

Many studies and research are censored if they are not in line with Google's guidelines, objectives and thinking.

Yet another reason to avoid Google.

But let's continue, what does this mean?

When searching for something, instead of getting neutral and real results that may be in line with the keyword entered in the search bar, you are offered sites that are in line with Google's thinking.

Moreover, other sites are even censored, and these do not appear at all in Google.

The results in the second, third, fourth and away are automatically generated on the basis of the person's profiling.

Avoiding Google when searching serves to improve your mind and your knowledge.

If during a search, you always find the same results that are in line with your profile and Google's thinking, it will be difficult to change your mind about anything.

Such as your own point of view, discovering new material that takes you out of your usual patterns of thinking.

This should be one of the first goals of a search engine, which is why in our opinion it is better to avoid Google.

Through constant research and new information one grows and is considered the most mature way to expand one's mind and find a balance in the world.

4

Freedom

The fourth point to avoid Google is freedom, which is a very important value that we unfortunately take very much for granted today.

But it is something extremely important and also very delicate.

The problem is that nowadays Google has invaded virtually every sphere of our daily lives.

That is why I pursue the concept of globalisation, i.e. removing parts of Google from one's life.

This is because since we have an actor who 'controls' our geolocalisation, our search states, how and when we surf, what we go to see, knows the facts we file, owns the Excel spreadsheet programme we work on and also the Word programme; controls our e-mails, the operating system of our mobile phone, etc. etc. etc.

We are simply acting with a single actor, which is definitely not a good thing, which is why it is better to avoid Google.

One might think: he is an actor who makes 'good quality' products and allows us to have them for free.

So, that's good enough for me.

If this is your thinking, you must also be aware of the data you leave them and the use they can make of it, such as bombarding them with advertisements.

However, we must point out that the reasoning would be much more complex than what we have tried to give you now to avoid Google.

This is because history teaches us that all this great power in the hands of a single actor is, unfortunately, harmful because a system of totalitarianism is experienced and established.

We can, therefore, say that with the economic power we mentioned earlier, this one actor can change its guidelines and goals, dragging the 97% of the planet behind it.

Thus, it has total control over the direction of the masses and their thoughts and behaviour.

Avoid Google because the problem lies with the corporation that has people with interests behind it and behind these are other people with other interests.

So, a handful of people around the world decide what we think and what we do, knowing our habits and software.

It is much better to have an environment where there are more actors in a real debate about what are the positive and negative critical points so that people can make a decision that is more based on their discernment of what is right and wrong and their own ethics and morals.

Avoiding Google for privacy

The last point to avoid Google yet to be dealt with is privacy.

There is no point in quoting big phrases about privacy, because I think that if a person is not interested in privacy in 2021, it is because they have not realised how important it is.

Most probably he should not even read this very article.

Google is the worst actor one can choose as far as privacy is concerned.

You should know that he has several lawsuits still pending, filed by several senators and lawyers against him with evidence of how Google has infringed the privacy and freedom of citizens around the world.

All this he did in an intense and subtle way.

I will give you a practical example because I avoid Google.

Practically with a simple Google search, whatever the word Google associates it with your IP numberyour number on the Internet that is unique to any person.

To this search query a whole host of other information about your person is associated with it. This as mentioned then allows for profiling and many other things.

As you can see, this is clearly a huge problem because without privacy there can be no freedom of thought.

Without freedom of thought, there can be no creativity and thus no system of finding solutions that break out of the box.

So, to sum up, there are at least five big reasons to avoid Google.

As we said, one reason is economic because small competitors do not have the capital to cope.

The biggest profits come from advertising, and the relevant results are increasingly in favour of additional corporate advertising.

Avoid Google as a matter of freedom above all freedom of thought and decision based on tangible information that is true, solid and scientific.

So if you are really looking for the truth, do not do a Google search because you will get nothing, rather use alternative channels such as other search engines or the dark web. Of course you find a lot of information in books or just by looking around, talking to other people.

Avoid Google because it does not respect privacy.

As far as alternatives are concerned, we advise you to use non-American companies; there are several search engines that are alternatives to Google, some are completely independent

Doctorow a company that certainly deals much less than Google, but still has a base in the United States, which is one of the five most important and closest to Americans.

We advise you to avoid it for very intense and deep research where you seek the truth of facts.

If you want, you can use it to do your research.

Another search engine that just recently became paid is Epic Epic SoC Epic Search.

The fact that we tell you that it is fee-based might be viewed negatively by you, but in the reality of 2021 it is not at all.

When we pay for a product, we are not the product as in the case of Google selling our profiling.

By paying for a search engine, we end up being completely anonymous.

We know that our data is not used in any way because this company finances itself with the fee we pay for the product.
